Undergrature Teaching Assistant
One of the most influential aspects of the first year curriculum at NYU Tandon School of Engineering is the EG 1004: Introduction to Engineering course. This is a TA-run course, where students participate in weekly lab to learn core engineering concepts & softwares, weekly presentations, and continued professional development. Laboratory Assistant
As a laboratory assistant, I lead weekly lab sessions, collaborating closely with faculty to introduce students to engineering fundamentals. Additionally, I ensure seamless execution of experiments and maintain open communication channels with assistants to monitor and address student progress. Through this work, I gain both technical and interpersonal skills related to engineering and the first year engineering experience.
Open Lab TA
Open Lab serves as a space where EG 1004 students can work on projects and interact with TAs. As an Open Lab TA, I provide support to students undertaking semester-long design projects by offering guidance, resources, and training sessions in essential engineering skills such as soldering, CAD, and circuitry.
RAD Mentor
One of the semester long design projects students can take on is Rapid Assembly and Design (RAD). With this, they are provided a mentor who serves as a point of contace throughout the semester. In this position, I guide teams of undergraduate students in executing engineering design projects, fostering collaboration and project management skills. Additionally, I conduct regular meetings to track progress, offer constructive feedback, and facilitat project-related approvals.
