Projects Status
As a part of the GLASS program I am required to deliver a final paper and presentation, highlighting the work I did towards a NAE grand challenge or UN sustainable development goal. As I graduate from the program in Spring 2025, I have not yet completed these deliverables. Below are the actions I have taken so far towards their completion:
NAE Grand Challenge

Specialized Courses
Megaprojects: Strategies for Urban Intervention around the Globe
I centered my fourth year curriculum at NYU around global sustainability, including this course. Through this course we evaluated megaprojects around the world, looking at sustainable measures (environmental, social, and economic), the creation of public spaces, and sustainable architecture. Through this course I learned more about engineering spaces for community and sustainability, while applying my global knowledge in a final presentation and research paper.

Contributions of Urban Space Redevelopment in Milan, Italy: CityLife District
After my study abroad in Milan, Italy, I researched the CityLife district through the lens of my Megaprojects: Strategies for Urban Intervention Around the Globe course. I evaluated the architectural innovation, sustainability, and social & economic impact on the city while also considering the concerns surrounding social sustainability and gentrification in historical districts.

Study Abroad
Indonesia J-Term Program: Sustainability Among Urban and Rural Landscapes
I participated in a study abroad program in Indonesia centered around rural and urban agriculture sustainability.

Co-op
Process Engineering Co-op at DuPont Electronics and Industrial
As a part of the polymerics team at DuPont's Electronic and Industrial site in Newark, Delaware, I helped in the optimization of various products. I provides solutions that would increase viable yield while decreasing the amount of scrapped material, contributing to DuPont's sustainability goals.

Volunteering
Sustainability Volunteer in Sri Lanka
I did various forms of volunteering in Sri Lanka, focusing on beach and river clean-ups and sea turtle conservation.

Specialized Courses
Sustainability Courses at Politecnico di Milano
I catered my course load around chemical sustainability, taking a Sustainable Polymers course and Electrochemical Technologies for Water and Wastewater Treatment. Through these courses I learned about innovative chemical recycling techniques that work to combine sustainable management with innovative technology.
